Theme 2 Knowledge Exchange and Application
REPAR's goals for this theme
1. Develop knowledge exchange and application skills; 2. Adopt more efficient knowledge exchange and application strategies specific to the field of rehabilitation in order to encourage clinicians to become involved in evidence-based practice; 3. Create a new culture of knowledge acquisition and application; 4. Contribute to the improvement of clinical practices and rehabilitation intervention methods through the introduction of new knowledge; 5. Become the driving force of clinical rehabilitation research in Quebec.
Programs/Activities and Objectives
Program 2.1 - Development and establishment of a technological platform
Develop projects aimed at using REPAR's website as a platform for the exchange and application of knowledge.
Program 2.2 - Structuring activities
To encourage the implementation of standardized evaluation tools, clinical practice guidelines and client management guidelines. This program is also aimed at evaluating the applicability of these tools in the field of rehabilitation by clinicians working alongside researchers.
Program 2.3- Support program for organizing seminars, training workshops and other knowledge exchange and application activities.
Offer financial support for organizing scientific activities that serve as platforms for the exchange and application of knowledge in the field of rehabilitation. Other innovative activities that are also eligible in this program include those which extend over longer periods of time such as the creation of specific theme-based discussion groups or communities of practice.
Activity- Rehabilitation-based knowledge exchange and application portal
Provide a reference tool to encourage the exchange and application of knowledge as well as evidence-based practice in rehabilitation. Existing tools include: (1) the "rehab_watch" newsletter; and (2) clinical evaluation tools and clinical practice guidelines used in the field of rehabilitation.
